KC -- Who says you have to sleep IN the bed? (Please note quote from Biophilic.)

"No one knows how a cat's mind works.
They make of us a captive audience to the absurdly sublime. All we can do is watch in awe and disbelief as they twist into knots all we think we know about them and reality. They are truly the masters of the universe."

I’m a cat appreciator...love dogs too, but I’ve always had cats, and our current living and working situations (at least when I’m back in the office) are not ideal for dogs for me.

Reminds me of when we fostered some little orphaned kitten peanuts...tiny little things. They were kind of barely hanging on, but when we first got them the little black one was always grooming himself while the others were just sitting there kind of trembling, and looking sick. Thanks to my country practical wife, and me working from home, they were all soon in fine shape. I became mom/dad to them since I was almost always there, and they spent hours draped over me. I kept the little black groomer, who became a fine young man kitty.

can find. He was the best cat I ever had, but also the most painful since he died young in a car encounter. All of our cats have been indoor-outdoor, and he is the only one who has gone like that.

I appreciate your searching. Have you posted photos on DU before?

It's late here in Washington State. I'm headed to bed, but I'll check this thread tomorrow. Thanks.
