Othello broke the tallest platform on his cat tree.
It made a big crunch and I saw it was starting to tilt while he was on it. I was running over there to take him off it.
I just about
flipped the fuck out.
Luckily he wasen't hurt.
He was a smart kitty and landed on the couch before I could catch him.
But still, I paid 75 bucks for that tree, you'd think it would have lasted longer.
Othello gave me the saddest look as I took the broken parts to my artroom.
I hope I can fix it. And stabilize the whole tree.
Looks like a trip to Lowes is in my future.

1 x 3 pine, 1 5/8 drywall screws. You can get little rubber feet, so that it will sit firmly on the outer ends of the outrrigger.

(3,406 posts)My kids would destroy a Christmas tree in a New York minute 😽🎄 Othello must be a very good boy. I put a tree and some decorations on our outdoor deck. Trying to get into that "Christmas spirit" this year.
We had a huge, heavy cat tree specially made for my husband's cat, Ollie, top cat in the pic. He weighed over 25 pounds and could tip over smaller cat trees. We lost Ollie two years ago to kidney disease; I think of him and smile when I look at that cat tree now.
