Just train to sweep it off...

Wonder if this firearm was being carried OWB or IWB? What type holster? What type of firearm? Was he dicking around with it with the ND occurred?

This story tell us nothing that we can learn that will help us be safer carriers.

was something like:

"Hey look at my cool gun"
"Put it away be fore someone sees"
"OK, I'll holster it"*BANG (finger or object gets inside trigger guard while attempting an awkward holstering- hits the off hand, the ankle and ankle...

Dumbass should be charged

Man this shitty gun sticking me in my side sucks ass....let me try and push this barrel out of my hip, or grip out of my side.

BANG hold through the hand...

IWB's great if you stand up all day, and don't mind wearing pants 4" too large in the waist.

OWB's great if you don't want to push, pull, twist, and constantly rearrange your firearm.

I will do IWB with a good holster but choose OWB whenever possible. Every holster must fully cover the trigger and not allow the gun to creep up

According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, John Cassata, 70, took out the handgun to show his friends when he fired it by accident.

That would be a negligent shooting, not an accidental shooting.

It sure would. The suggestion that "the gun went off" is never accurate, and it encourages hysteria among the public by leading them to believe that the things just pop off by themselves.
