Kudos to the Gun Control & RKBA Group

The members of this group have displayed remarkable character, discipline, and patience once again. As evidenced by the recent flurry of posts in this group by those critical of its members, it is not the members of this group firing uncontrolled outbursts, round after round. It is not the members of this group associating flags, banners, bumper stickers, and statements by individuals with everything that is wrong with this country.

It is shameful to allow perhaps the last unabridged right we have to be chipped away at, little by little, until it is as unrecognizable as our right to peacefully assemble or to protest. Sure, we can still have protests provided the permits are granted, the fees paid, the schedule kept. If the protest is innocuous enough it may receive coverage by the media, and if it does not have the potential to change anything there may even be some publicity before the event. Such has been the abolition of all our rights and the decline of a strong citizenry.

The bad intent directed toward this group in the past week has been an epic failure. It does not appear that anyone here is hiding from the world now, no one is afraid of the petty critics braving the world from behind their keyboards. Those joining in the fracas could look at what the depths of their own integrity has produced.

I'm sure the steady stream of petty insults, immaturity and inablity to actually discuss things like adults that came from all the gun control extremists in the past week or so won over a lot of people...........

* Always assume it's loaded.

* Keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to fire

* Never aim at anything you aren't prepared to destroy.

* Always be aware of what is behind your target.

* Do the right thing first and always

in the wrong direction; one group after another wants to stop someone from doing or saying anything, and not just the 2nd. At the point that we are all powerless and without a voice it will be too late. Just like NaturalHigh's question from the off-topic (cough cough) post the other day, a few came out and said so, some wiggled and squirmed, and some covered their eyes. When it's all said and done, when all that's left are mindless masses, those who took away our voices one word at a time still won't see that they were part of process. It will then be the fault of gun owners who had the power to stop things but didn't.
