Gavin Newsom is wrong on this issue. His advocacy for Prop 63 was in direct opposition to Second Amendment rights. I predict that his stance on this issue guarantees that he will never hold elected office outside of California.

Good job, California Democrats!

I have been simultaneously amused, depressed, and exasperated by the 'Who's toughest on gunz' contest between Newsom and Kevin 'Ghost Gun' deLeon. When it comes to stoopid, we're competing with the east coast for the trophy.

"I predict that his stance on this issue guarantees that he will never hold elected office outside of California."

True this. He's too enslaved by his religion to understand how he's knee-capping himself.

No, really!!

Your ammo, maybe. Your mags and clips, likely. Your pistol grip, bayonet lug, bullet button... ...well, you know.

I mean after all, it's perfectly legal for us to own rifles every bit as lethal as "assault weapons" as long as they're registered and look funny.

I live in SoCal and cops don't give a crap about this stupidity, as they are under-resourced as it is. It's pretty disheartening to see that a lot of my friends are still allying with the clueless restriction groups on Facebook, belching out the usual tired misinformation that they've gobbled up from the MSM. Our nation is on fire, yet "progressives" continue to give aid and comfort to the GOP when gun violence is 1/2 of what it was in '93.

I sure hope things go well for us next year......but given the lack of self-awareness I've seen displayed since 11/08/16 I'm not optimistic.

and the police aren't making much of an effort to enforce the gun laws. On the other hand if they arrest someone for something not gun related and find out they didn't comply, then they add the gun charges on top of whatever else they arrested you for.

And then they plea-bargain the gun charge away. It's all a stupid game that makes no one safer and penalizes no one but the law-abiding.
