Duchesne County mom pleads guilty to pointing loaded gun at son's head

DUCHESNE — A Duchesne County woman accused of holding a loaded gun to her young son's head and threatening to shoot him pleaded guilty Thursday to a reduced charge.

Bambi Lee Richins, of Talmage, entered her plea to child abuse, a third-degree felony. The charge was initially filed in 8th District Court as a second-degree felony.

Richins' 9-year-old son told a detective his mother became angry with him while he was cleaning the living room, pointed a .22-caliber handgun at his head and said, "I am going to blow your head off," according to charging documents.

&quot The boy) indicated Bambi showed him the .22 handgun and told him it was loaded," the charges state. &quot He) stated he saw the gun was loaded. Bambi then told (her son) she was going to put the .22 firearm in his mouth and pull the trigger."

talk about harsh discipline, this takes it to a whole new level, other than that, what's your point here?
That a mother did something illegal and was punished for it?

if she didn't have a gun. Even small arguments can turn into murder. This incident was just a few millimeters of finger movement away from becoming that.

what? . She could have just as easily have held a knife to his throat, he would have been just millimeters away from having his carotid artery cut, or a baseball bat for that matter.

even if she did not have a ...wait for it.....wait for it...a GUN.
Sounds to me she has a mental health problem. She could have held a knife to his throat.
But then NOTHING would be posted here about that lethal weapon because it does not have the magic word...GUN.

and then beat her. But that's entirely the fault of glue. It had nothing to do with the depravity of the mother.

.....every last gun and bullet is routed through the NRA office where a voodoo curse is put on it to make it an evil gun. By touching a gun the curse is transferred to that individual making them evil. Rumor has it the NRA will be branching out into baseball bats and matches.
