Eric Dyson goes on Morning Joe ...

And says what every Black person who has worked, as a "first" in corporate America knows ... President Obama's being Black required(s) that he walk a very fine line with respect to racial policy. If President Obama had fashioned efforts specifically for the benefit of Black people ... as he did the LGBT and women and Latinos ... it wouldn't have been seen as meeting a corporal need; but rather, a biased act, because he is Black.

I disagree with his criticism/characterization of President Obama's Morehouse address, and other times he has addressed race; but, I will have to read the article.

I do happen to agree that HRC can do more for Black folks, specifically, rather than, fashioning a plan that benefits everyone and trickles down to Black folks.

But what Obama said was no different than the criticisms you hear from Black people themselves.

But, Dyson's unspoken point was ... family business is best discussed among family, not on a public stage among mixed ears.

And, I agree ... I may have a big problemishes with what my sister is doing; but, I'm not going to tell you (in the generic) about it because you don't need to know, nor can/will you change her behavior.

Fortunately, between the two of them, Scar could hardly get a word in edgewise.

It was like everyone on the panel sat back and said, "play your role, Eugene. Challenge that Black guy, Black guy. That's why you're here!"

the views expressed were at least partly genuine, but I was glad to see two black intellectuals getting down to it, uninterrupted by the resident white mouthpiece (Scarface).

who have seen success who feel the need to criticize our President? My god. I hope I don't have to put him in the same category as Cornel West.

Dyson adores Obama. His critique was based on a comparison between Obama and Hillary and what might be accomplished for the AA community. I listened to it and didn't see it as dissing Obama at all. Dyson is so much smarter than I am that sometimes I can;t follow him on race issues. I translated what he said as being something like "Hillary can get more accomplished for AA's because she isn't Black and doesn't have to worry about appearing to favor AA's over others." Does that make any sense?

That's the part of what Dyson writes that I take to heart.

Dyson's criticisms of President, I don't feel qualified to discuss. Except to say Dyson isn't trashing President Obama up & down left & right the way some hyperbolic critics do.
