C-SPAN interviewed Jeff Shaara - Historical fiction

C-SPAN video = In Depth with Jeff Shaara

"We continued our 2018 Fiction Edition of In Depth with military historical fiction author, Jeff Shaara.
Mr. Shaara’s 15 novels tell the military history of America from the American Revolution to the Korean War."

Jeff Shaara is the New York Times bestselling author of The Steel Wave, The Rising Tide, To the Last Man, The Glorious Cause, Rise to Rebellion, and Gone for Soldiers, as well as Gods and Generals and The Last Full Measure-two novels that complete the Civil War trilogy that began with his father's Pulitzer Prize--winning classic The Killer Angels.

Who is no longer with us. Jeff is his son; the only one I read of his is Gods and Generals - he is not in the ballpark of his father as a writer.

was The Killer Angels. One of the best books ever.

I don't believe I've ever gotten around to reading any of the ones the son wrote.

It seems to me that his father's "Gods And Generals" has attained somewhat of a cult following over the years---and I say that as an admirer of that fine book. Yet and still, I believe Jeff Shaara's works are better than 90% of the wartime fiction we see coming out, these days. Just my opinion.
