Admirable fathers

In The Dictionary of Lost Words and All the Light We Cannot See, I admire the fathers who encourage their daughters to be educated and curious. Both books take place at a time when girls are not normally given these privileges. Many times I fear for the fathers and more so for the daughters. These fathers are so committed and loving to their daughters.
