Any of y'all fans of Randy Wayne White?

I haven’t read any of his, but I’m looking for new authors. Most of mine either I’ve already read all their stuff or they’re dying off.

I also like Karen Slaughter. Been reading her stuff for years. I'd start with her first novels about a young woman doctor for background. Her books have evolved over the years into the Will Trent series. ABC turned these into a show that's awful and badly cast so don't go by it. Good mystery/thrillers. I'd recommend.

Start at the beginning. Good cast of characters. Tomlinsons a hoot. No heavy stuff. Nice locale. Good Guys, bad guys. Easy read.

My favorite author. James Lee Burke.

fiction we're reading, I often recommend Spencer Quinn. He writes the Chet & Bernie series of their action, adventure, and comedy as a private detective team. Chet the failed K9 has a unique and wonderful view of life. So much so, I got my grown son reading the series. I've also read 2 other of his books, The Right Side and Mrs. Plansky's Revenge. One of the most exciting books I've read this year was Code Name Helene, historical fiction about a real WWII heroine, author Ariel Lawhon.
