2015 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction: "All The Light We Cannot See" by Anthony Doerr

I thought it was pretty good, but it didn't exactly rock me back on my heels. How do the rest of you feel about it?

1. I haven't read it myself, but there have been quite a few posts here from people who DID read it.

And, if I recall correctly, all of those who read it and posted about it here praised it highly.

To be honest, it simply never interested me - and still doesn't - whatever the Pulitzer Committee thinks.

2. I liked it alright, but I liked last year's Pulitzer novel a lot more.

Donna Tartt's "The Goldfinch." There's supposed to be a movie in the works; hope it does justice to the book.

3. Ah. There's also quite a few posts in this group about "The Goldfinch", too!

Seems like lots of people liked that one, as well.

4. I loved it. It struck a chord with me. But I find the WWII era especially fascinating.

Both my wife and I give it very high marks.

5. I loved it. Beautifully written, well-developed characters, finely crafted

story line. I, too, love that time period, Enthusiast. So happy that it won the big prize!
