Out of the mouths of little children

I was recalling the conversation I had with my older grandson the day his baby brother was born (about 4 years ago) and it still makes me laugh.

He had called me (and yes, it was with Dad's help) to tell me that "mommy had gone to the "hoss pistol" to have his baby brother." Before I could get a word in, he continued. "You see, she swallowed him a long time ago and now he went and gave her a tummy ache. So she is gonna go and "frow him up" and bring him home."

And that was his 3 year old explanation...and I believe he nailed it! What do you think?

Funny. We tell our kids the truth when they ask, but I am not so sure they get it. nt ZombieHorde Jan 2012 #1

Grandparent: "Did that really happen??"

Grandson: "No but you'd never BELIEVE the way Mommy told it!"
