1. I have met him. He is a very nice guy.

My company invited him to come speak to us last year, and bought stacks of his books that we could have him sign for us (I know, right?). He read a few poems, told stories about growing up and how his teachers encouraged him, and stayed and signed books for everyone.

It was a lovely reception, with good food and drinks, and the kind of event that now seems in the impossibly distant past.

2. He is so warm hearted, I always try to catch him, a lot now since the virus, online events

3. Funny story...

I heard Billy Collins on the radio the other day, and he said once when he was Post Laureate, a young college kid asked him "how many people have to die before you become President"? He said the kid was so earnest, he didn't really know how to answer.

4. Very funny that I actually heard the same story, I even found it on youtube

I remember watching that youtube and them both joking about being in line of succession for becoming president.
