This book is his second most powerful in my view.
The reading is more challenging. Not merely complex.
Whipping Star is in the same set ( whatever the term is). Feel free to read Whipping Star first.
The Dosadi Experiment was as challenging to me as Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

Been decades since read Herbert.
Never got through Dunes, stared several times and got distracted to other reads.
