At the home opener agaisnt the Reds when pitcher Gio Gonzalez hit and got on base and proceeded to run the bases with a big goofy charming smile:

I don't HATE the DH like some do, but I do enjoy the strategy of pitchers hitting.

Everyone should hit.

I love it when someone thinks a pitcher can't hit. Look at Zambrano or Josh Johnson. Those guys can hit home runs. I even remember Kerry Wood hitting a home run once or twice.

I can't believe how well they are playing!! Even without Morse, Storen and now Zimmermann. I was sure they would only be able to muster 2 or 3 runs last night too...

instead of sugar (I think it's all, but at least, almost all), but that doesn't mean it's a good idea...

Having said that, I'd rather watch a DH hit than a pitcher. Ideally, I'd like to see pitchers not suck so much at the plate and do away with the DH, but I don't see that happening any time soon.
