Go back to having none. Watching the AL pitchers bat is embarrassing. | |

(24,853 posts)The American Leaguers play their own, and so do the National Leaguers. Never the twain shall meet until the World Series.
In Real Baseball, a team must be a WINNER in order to make it to the World Series. None of this crappy wildcard shit. You win, or you go home. Second place in any division makes you the first loser in that division and thus ineligible for post-season play.
I long for a return to Real Baseball.

(20,365 posts)Why have four rounds of playoffs except for the m**f**ing extra revenue?
They screwed the counting of the regular season wins & losses when they put in the unbalanced schedule.
This is not the m**f**ing NHL or the m**f**ing NBA!

(20,365 posts)The DH was adopted before Selig. There were actually smart commissioners before him.

(44,228 posts)So they play NL rules in AL parks and AL rules in NL parks.
That way, fans get to experience and see the different rules of the opposing league.
Right now, I get to watch the Mets in Toronto, playing AL rules. I get to see AL rules in Toronto all the time. Would be kinda interesting to play NL rules when NL teams come to town.
I'm not sure if I'm a fan of interleague, but I think it would be better to let the home fans see the other side.
