So ESPN went the other way Thursday, featuring Millen on “SportCenter” after the Freeh Report was released. Millen’s worst day as general manager of the Lions was better than his few minutes of airtime Thursday. He paid lip-service to Freeh’s findings on Paterno, directing his heat at, and dropping a dime on, university prez Graham Spanier.

Millen contended that Spanier should have put the kibosh on the Sandusky coverup, which Paterno was a part of.

“Real leadership says ‘no, that is not going to happen,’” Millen told ESPN anchor Lindsay Czarniak (serving as an overpaid lip reader, she never challenged Millen). “That is your job as a leader. You override that.”

Not only was Millen running interference for the late Mr. Paterno, he was playing viewers for morons. Paterno, according to the report, went ostrich while Sandusky was raping little boys. And Spanier didn’t blow his nose without getting Paterno’s permission. ..............(more)
