He is the first Olympic to repeat in both the 100m and 200m. He is also the only person ever to own both the 100m & 200m world records.

It is difficult to compare across sports based on the volume of events. A player on a team sport (besides relays) would never be considered one since they only enter 1 event per Olympics.

I don't know...I'd have to check. The thing is, from what I can recall, he's become a superstar in sports, and not many (if any) track and field athletes can claim that.

But not both twice...and he has 10 gold, I believe...if Bolt comes back to Rio, that might change the conversation.

Lewis won the 100 twice. But, didn't do it in the 200. So, Bolt is 2nd to do the 100 and the first to the 200, and of course, the first to do both.

in both races. That is unheard of. He's now the only man ever to repeat oin 100 m and 200 m. Amazing.
