Not exactly a masterpiece, but a good game nonetheless.

I'm talking about the Team USA vs. Spain gold medal game in Basketball in which Team USA finally prevailed 107-100. Spain commited a lot of fouls to avoid a sure USA fast break and it worked, at least for a while. Pao Gasol was a dominant force in the 3rd quarter but in the end, the lock down defense and LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Kobe Bryant showed why they are far and away the best basketball players in the world. Congratulations to The Spaniards for a tough fight against the prohibitive favorites going into the Olympics and congratulations to Team USA for winning a tough game. And congrats to coach K as well for a well coached Olympics run. Don't know who will coach in 2016 and we don't know who will replace Bryant, but there will undoubtedly be a superstar coach and player to step in and fill the void.
Also, no spoiler alert because the game was on live tv. If you didn't watch it or were saving it for later, sorry.

Two gold and two bronze for the US men...I think that's pretty good for them...the sport is usually dominated by eastern europe and the middle east and countries that broke off from Russia.

It was a good game...took us a bit to get it really going but in the end, when that buzzer sounded, we won.

Even though I like to think of myself as kind of an asshole (ya, well, I'll do anything for rescue critters in need of help), I simply
cannot help but getting choked up (and even an eye dab) when the anthem is played and the flag gets raised.

It makes me kinda proud.

Now, about non-proud stuff that I will never waste a tear on, BAGGERS!
