Pablo named WS MVP..

A no-brainer choice after the Giants finished off a four-game sweep of the Tigers tonight, Sandoval was named the World Series MVP.

Sandoval went 8-for-16 (.500) during the series, including his three-homer performance in Game 1. Babe Ruth, Reggie Jackson and Albert Pujols are the only other players to hit three home runs in a World Series game. Kung-Fu Panda was excellent throughout the postseason, batting .364 (24-for-66) with five doubles, six home runs, 13 RBI and a 1.098 OPS. He fell one shy of tying the all-time record for hits in a single postseason.

including Boche and Righetti. It was a great team victory.

He has to be the best in game manager the SF era Giants have ever had..his handling of pitchers is exceptional. He's won two championships with two almost entirely different teams position player wise. The decision to put Lincecum in the bullpen was genius. I see the HoF in his future, while Righetti may someday be the Giants manager...he certainly has earned a shot somewhere.

This whole thing is remarkable..SF Giants fans wait 52 years for that elusive title, and now the floodgates have opened. The last NL team to win 2 in 3 is the Big Red Machine from the 70's..

what he told his entire staff, sometime during the year and something to the effect that "no single person (in this room) is smarter than all of us combined." I think that underscores the great work Dave Righetti and Mark Gardner did turning around Barry Zito and (virtually overnight) Madison Bumgarner.

Not to be forgotten: the great work of the scouts, including rookie and former player Pat Burrell who charted the Tigers/Yankees series (I thought the scouting staff did a great job in 2010 in keeping a potent Rangers offense so off-balance).

This is an organization clicking on all cylinders. With Aaron Rowand (!) and Aubrey Huff off the payroll in 2013 they free up $23 million in salary, enough to resign Angel Pagan, Brian Wilson, and start thinking about Buster Posey long-term.
