3. I'll admit to watching the MLB

I'll never forget 1999, the year Ted Williams made an appearance. All the players were huddled around him. He asked Mark McGwire if he smelled smoke -- the resulting friction from bat hitting ball -- when he pelted a line drive. McGwire said he did. It was a great moment. Baseball transends time better than any other sport. That's why I love it, and why I hate to see changes like the DH, interleague play, and this absurd new wildcard.

4. The NHL skills competition is the best of all of it.

The game is the best of them all too. While the physical aspect isn't there, all the skill and then some is on display. I enjoy it anyway.
