Eagles new offense---just like the Wildcat, will not survive.

Sorry--- this ain't no college league---this is the NFL.

The Wildcat was successful early on because teams were caught by surprise.

Last's night---Chip Kelly's fast tempo offense certainly caught the Redskins by surprise in the first half.

Not in the second half-- Eagles first half--26 points---second half---7

The Skins made adjustments at halftime and shut them down.

NFL teams will be watching the 2nd half film big time.

Especially the fumble by the center at midfield following a 24-yd gain which led to a KC score in a pivotal moment of the game.

I do have a problem with the offense but the issue I have is it is going to wear down the Eagles offense, this isn't 18-25 year olds like he had at Oregon. But from a numbers perspective, they were at 6.7 passing which isn't too bad but they were #1 in YPA going into the week. #1 in rushing and their numbers in that area were outstanding--253 yds off of 25 carries from McCoy & Vick.

Like I said I have an issue with the offense and agree won't last but don't think the game was an example of it as much as the turnovers and turnovers vary week-to-week.

Isn't the trick is to mix it up as well? While there are moments the fast tempo works you can't sustain it for an entire game. Balance attack applies to tempo as much as play calling.

Screw Vick, anyhow. I'm happy to see him fail.

Good to see you back Jon.

And shut the iggles down after.

That was the first solid clue that Kelly's college offense wasn't going to work in the NFL.

They went from averaging a play every 23 seconds to every 30 seconds in the 2nd half. They were even faster against San Diego averaging a play every 20 seconds the entire game.

Which points to my problem. Not only for the offense, but you're also not giving your D not much of a rest and their D is in the bottom 10 in both categories.
