AP Source: Lions DT Ndamukong Suh fined $31,500 for hit on Browns QB Weeden

Ndamukong Suh has been fined by the NFL.

Again.

The Detroit Lions defensive tackle was docked $31,500 by the league for a hit on Cleveland Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden, a person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press. The person spoke Wednesday on condition of anonymity because the fine had not been announced.

Suh insisted earlier in the day he was unaware the NFL was reviewing his actions during Sunday's game, but acknowledged being used to the scrutiny.

"I think there is always going to be a microscope on me," he said. "I think there has been a microscope on me since I was first drafted."

This was a clean play. Wasn't flagged, wasn't even noted by the announcers. Just routine. Suh plays tough and mean, the way you're supposed to play. At least it used to be the way you're supposed to play. Bust him when he goes over the line but not for crap like this.

Even the dude in the video said helmet to body. Last line spoken.

This is a clean play but because of who he is they fine him. If you look at all the plays he's been fined for about half of them are bad and the other half are just mean plays. The kind of stuff Joe Greene and Randy White got in the hall of fame for.

It's a different game from even five years ago. Eventually it's going to be like the arena league.
