&quot The Ted) needs $150 million in infrastructure work (including seat replacement, upgrades to the lighting, etc.), none of which would significantly enhance the fan experience. If the Braves were to pay for additional projects focused on improving the fan experience, the additional costs would exceed $200 million.

Even with a significant capital investment in Turner Field, there are several issues that cannot be overcome – lack of consistent mass transit to the facility, lack of adequate parking, lack of access to major roadways and lack of control over the development of the surrounding area."

One thing about the above the confuses me: "lack of consistent mass transit to the facility."

MARTA is consistent - and Cobb doesn't have it (they do have a bus line that connects with Marta.)

And didn't they tear part of the Olympic Stadium down when it was finished and turn it into a parking lot?

Am I wrong?

That is really what it is. don't kid yourselves that it is anything different. Where they want to put the new stadium is already a traffic nightmare.

aspect in all this. Heck, there are so many new/small municipalities that have cropped up in past decade -- with their own police force, city councils, etc. -- that we are killing Atlanta. I don't think that is in the area's best interest.

Atlanta is a seething racial time bomb. There is a real problem with the attitudes of a lot of people in Atlanta.

Hannity, etc.

The move is not a done deal. The Braves and Falcons have used the move threat before to get more money out of the city.

Where they are locating the stadium is probably in the number one worst traffic area in the city. There is also a seething racial time bomb here. I used to sell cash registers here and I have ventured into every neighborhood in Atlanta. There used to be a slogan "Atlanta- A city to busy to hate". It is now the city who can't stand to be around African Americans except when they are winning sports for you.

There has always been a real racial divide here. It was just covered up. The real theme here is stick to your own kind.
Northerners hang with northerners
southerners hang with southerners
African Americans hang with African Americans.

And they almost always have a good team. Even playoff games don't sell out there. They should just leave altogether.
