Kitna played 15 seasons in the NFL, his last three with the Cowboys before retiring after the 2011 season. Hes been out of the league the last two years as he returned to his high school alma mater Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Wash. to be a football coach and math teacher.
Kitna, 41, was a locker room leader for the Cowboys during his time as Romos backup.
On Tuesday at Valley Ranch, the Cowboys also worked out quarterbacks David Carr, John Skelton, Tyler Thigpen and Caleb Hanie, who was born in Dallas and played high school football at Forney.

Hmm... I was hoping they'd sign CSU star, Caleb Hanie.

(64,931 posts)If on the off chance that he does play, he would at least be familiar with the system. And then he also knows the receivers and the many of the others on the team.
No one else brings that to the mix.

(10,893 posts)Dallas is having some QB trouble, too. How the mighty have fallen; 5 titles, but no playoff win in over a decade. It's kinda sad to see how much they've fallen, and I empathize with them. Just like the Raiders, they're having QB issues, a playoff drought, and they have a crazy and aging owner trying to please a passionate fanbase, just like how it was with Al Davis before he died.
