And the meatballs think as you do. One year with weapons. 5 different offense in 5 years, 3 of them with a terrible receiving corps and a tragic O-Line.

He is THE best QB the Bears have had since Jim McMahon, and it's not even close. If you haven't watched at least the preponderance of Bears games for the last 20 years, you would have no perspective on how good a deal this actually is for the Bears.

Trestman has a reputation as a QB whisperer and he is hitching his wagon to Cutler. I'll trust his opinion about quarterbacking talent over that of any fan.

4. Bad Deal Considering the Year

This seems to be a bad deal considering this year's NFL draft has a number of good quarterbacks that could become good NFL quarterbacks. I guess they thought they were too low in the draft to get a good quarterback. Some others seem to think the Bears want to focus on defense in the draft.
