San Jose once again has an Olympic figure skater

Polina Edmunds took second at nationals. And she's still in high school!

For those of you just joining us, it wasn't all that long ago that the South Bay was the center of the figure skating universe, with Kristi Yamaguchi (Fremont), Brian Boitano (Sunnyvale), and San Jose's own Debi Thomas and Rudy Galindo. Galindo, of course, is also the first out male skater.

So the question is, who will bring hardware to the SAP Center first: Edmunds or the Sharks?

Good for Polina, but she's too young and inexperienced world-wise...the judges won't give her the marks they'll give to those with reputations.
