Great win by Stan...anyone see it? They showed the stats after and it was ridiculously even with winners, errors, 1st serve, etc. The only thing different was Tomas went to the net more. Stan is really focused, should the roid-out fraud get through the final, I am actually feeling good about Stan beating him!
As for the women, I really thought Radswanka would finally break through...I guess Li has to be considered the favorit...

(56,177 posts)Roger's my favorite and his time is running out, but I've always liked Stan and he;s playing so well he deserves at least one GS.
Roger or Stan would be fine. I think Roger would like to win Wimbledon one more time and here's hoping. Looks like Roger and Rafa play really late. I may stay up - we may get a snow day tomorrow anyway ... (craziness - winter storm warnings in Houston due to snow north of the city and sleet predicted where we live overnight)
Li's definitely the favorite - I've never even heard of Cibulkova. How exciting to have some new women break through. I was pulling for Radwanska as well.

Gotta get through Nadal tonight.
Never been crazy about Nadal as you know but there is something different about him this year, can't put my finger on it. It isn't good, it is kinda freaky AND he seems to be losing his hair rather quickly. I never was totally buying into the roid thing with him but maybe.......
I love Li Na (Na Li?) and was pulling for her and Radwanska so I am good there too for the final. I wish Radwanska would get through to a few finals this year.

(29,655 posts)Love her style of play....lotsa different shots she plays....not just the long volleys of power hitting but she didn't make it through, and now Roger lost. Oh well, there is always the French for Serena to win.

I was happy he got this far too, perhaps he is right when he says it will get better since he has a new racquet and a new coach.
I hope he plays as long as he is happy doing it, I will be happy to watch him except I don't think I will ever let myself watch him play Nadal again. It just upsets me to see that. Anyone else and it would be fine but watching Nadal win over Fed is just sad.
