If I am not mistaken, Kevin Ollie is the second African American coach to cut down the nets, after Georgetown's John Thompson.

I forgot about them, 'cause they were kind of a one-year wonder.

But Ollie's still only the third. And he could easily follow in Calhoun's footsteps and win multiple ones.

why is it that AA coaches are more of a rarity today than back in the era of Richardson, Smith, and John Thompson III, among others?!

Very few teams "come out of nowhere" to win the NCAA Tournament.

UConn has now done it twice in this decade.

Really amazing.
