Brady Hoke's tumultuous 2014 season as head coach at Michigan has ended in his ouster, according to ESPN and multiple media reports.

In his first season in Ann Arbor, Hoke led the Wolverines to an 11-2 record, including a 23-20 win against Virginia Tech in the 2012 Allstate Sugar Bowl, Michigan's first BCS bowl game since the 2006 season.
But since then, Michigan has seen its win total decrease each season -- 8-5 in 2012, 7-6 in 2013 and 5-7 this season.
The turmoil that enveloped the program included Michigan's handling of quarterback Shane Morris after he suffered a head injury in a loss to Minnesota on Sept. 27. Hoke and former athletic director Dave Brandon both received criticism when Morris briefly played on after taking a violent. Morris was eventually diagnosed with a probable concussion.
