If the latest chapter of Terrell Owens' career were a movie, we'd title it "Requiem for a Wide Receiver." But it's real life, and T.O. really is taking what's left of his talents to the Indoor Football League.
Owens announced on Twitter and via a video that he will play for and also be a part-owner of the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League. Allen is a Dallas suburb, and the IFL is a 16-team league in mostly middling markets.
That's a significant drop in status for the man who ranks No. 2 all-time in the NFL for receiving yards.
The 37-year-old T.O. missed all of this NFL season after suffering a torn ACL, but announced on the video that: "Uh-oh, it's official. It just went down. I'm headed back to Texas. That's right. IFL, here I come. Allen, Texas, here I come. I'm gonna be me. Allen, Texas, I'll see you in the end zone."

I heard on the radio that he will only be playing in home games.
