Tom Brady Giving MVP Truck To Malcolm Butler

http://boston.cbslocal.com/2015/02/03/patriots-tom-brady-gives-super-bowl-mvp-truck-to-malcolm-butler/

Tom Brady won his fourth Lombardi Trophy and third Super Bowl MVP award Sunday night.

But he wouldn’t have accomplished that without a clutch interception by undrafted rookie Malcolm Butler, who picked off Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson at the New England one-yard line with just seconds remaining in Super Bow XLIX to seal the victory for the Patriots.

“I think there are a lot of people who are very deserving of this award,” Brady said Monday morning in Arizona as he collected his latest MVP trophy.

As MVP, Brady also received a shiny new Chevy truck. While he didn’t hand his MVP trophy to Butler, the quarterback is doing the next best thing: He’s giving him the truck.

The Butler did it!

How is a Chevy truck an exciting prize for a multimillionaire? It's just an ad for Chevy, rather than a true prize for the player. Butler is far more likely to find a way to appreciate the truck, even if he just gives it to a friend or relative...

Brady probably has a zillion vehicles already. The rookie will love his new truck!

4. Butler MVP

Butler should have been the MVP. If Butler had not made the interception the Patriots would most likely have lost the game. There was about 30 seconds left in the game. If the Seahawks had scored they would have taken the lead at 30-28. I am not sure they could have done it but, in theory they could have gone for a two point conversion just to use up the last few seconds. Other than that they could have gone for an onside kick in order to get the ball back and run out the last few seconds. Finally, they could have just done a regular kick. Could Tom Brady have thrown a touchdown with only a few seconds on the clock?

which set up the goal-line situation in the first place.

By the way, despite one Seattle fan's post , Butler did not "punch him in the gut". The play was not dead. Butler shoved him out of bounds. Otherwise he could have gotten up and scored.

I do not blame Butler for the catch. He tried to knock it away, but it just fell on the Seahawks player. There was not much more he could have done.
