Ndamukong Suh to sign with Dolphins (Sources)

Barring a breakdown in formal contract negotiations, Ndamukong Suh will sign with the Miami Dolphins after the new league year begins Tuesday for a deal that will pay him approximately $114 million with $60 million in guaranteed money, league sources told ESPN.

The Dolphins and Suh's agent Jimmy Sexton discussed those six-year parameters once the 72-hour window opened Saturday for dialogue between teams and unrestricted free agents, sources confirmed.

While Suh's former team, the Detroit Lions, were among the teams making competitive proposals, the Dolphins' parameters far exceeded the rest of the clubs interested in the defensive tackle.

The official proposal and contract, which would make Suh one of the NFL's highest-paid players, must be negotiated when the market opens at 4 p.m. ET Tuesday.

Buffalo took Incognito off the Phins hands - I guess everyone is getting desperate to unseat the Pats. Bring it!

One team was unsure of a player's character flaws and released him immediately when they learned just how bad they possibly were. The other team pursued and rewarded a known dirtbag with one of the biggest contracts ever.

If the people you're with with decide to kill someone even without your input, states typically can charge everyone with "murder". Given that everything we do know about the fight which led to people that were eventually killed comes from Ray Lewis given that he was the star witness. Even an independent witness said Ray Lewis had nothing to do with the fight, he likely was thinking about his career given why he was willing to flip on his friends but regarding the event he quickly tried to stop it, gained a temporary truce which was reignited by the group walking by. The defense argued a self-defense theory and given that his friend was hit in the head with a champagne bottle as soon as he got out of the limo it certainly struck me as credibility & generally you're allowed to shoot people for far less, "a fist" qualifies as a reason to self-defense shoot someone. Jury acquitted, in the eyes of the court no murder took place. Ray Lewis was the only one out of everyone involved that served a sentence over it though.

Really not even close to the same thing as Aaron Hernandez, not even close.

Given how shoddy the prosecution's case was with Ray Lewis as their only evidence, I can't imagine the prosecution of a murder charge if Ray Lewis decided to go the not guilty route.

Their defense wasn't, no it wasn't us. It was Ray Lewis.

If he lied, it would likely be pro prosecution lies to make them seem more like they committed than reacted in self-defense. For example, he said that back at the hotel one of two men held a knife to his throat, there is no way to independently confirm that but that would be a likely lie if it was a lie he told on the stand. Also, there would be no way to show perjury either.
