It took them 27 years to get back to a WS and then the building falls down.

Being a SF Giant fan was an exercise in futility.

Still... there's a lot of great memories attached to the place. Hate to see it go.

I was visiting from Ohio and was a Candlestick neophyte -- as unprepared as you could be. It turned into one of those classic foggy, cold evenings. Froze my ass off.

Twenty years later I was lucky to get to tickets to the last night game ever. Ironically, it was a pretty nice evening. Giants gave away the following:

Good times watching both the A's and the Giants.

I learned early on that just because it was hot as hell at 1pm, it could be cold as hell by 3pm. I'd hit the park in shorts and regret it big time a couple of hours later.

With that said---I loved watching Baseball in that park.
