Raiders stadium deal in Oakland is ‘gurgling blood’

http://blog.sfgate.com/matierandross/2015/05/18/raiders-stadium-deal-in-oakland-is-gurgling-blood/

The deal to build the Raiders a new stadium in Oakland “is gurgling blood” — the only question being when it’s going to be declared dead, according to one Coliseum official close to the talks....

The Raiders want free land, something elected officials in Oakland and Alameda County say they can’t deliver, according to our source, who spoke on condition of anonymity because talks are still under way....

“But the real poison pill is the Raiders’ insistence that the minute we start working on the new stadium, the old one comes down,” the source said, adding that owner Marc Davis does not want to be “playing in the middle of a construction zone” that would be required for a new A’s ballpark to be built.

“And losing the A’s would be suicide for all of us.”

I was going to post this but forgot. I'm pissed at 49ers management and ready to fall behind the Raiders 100%. But after reading this the other day I'm having second thoughts. Just watch ... after years of futility Carr, Cooper, Mack, etc. start playing championship caliber ball just in time for L.A. to snatch them away.

is even trying hard to make the deal work. He seems more interested in making a deal work in LA than up here, otherwise he'd be more involved in trying to make an Oakland stadium deal work. It's a huge middle-finger to the Oakland fans (who have continued to pay to see their sorry asses play over the years) to leave town not only once, but twice. It's like being in an abusive relationship with someone who doesn't want you.
MD is full of shit just like Lew Wolffe.
