Still don't understand why the Nats needed to bring in Papelbon, they had a closer!

(38,454 posts)one of the stupidest moves in history. He is a total ass and actually put his hands on the throat of the franchise player and league MVP.
As a closer he was no better than Storen--the only justifiable move there would have been to bring in an elite closer like Kimbrell or Chapman.
Update: Papelbon suspended for the rest of the year. He will never pitch here again.

(38,454 posts)Speaking of the A's I used to follow the progress of Billy Burns from the first day he was drafted--scouts said he'll never make it--and with the Nats help he made himself into a switch hitter-- and then freaking Rizzo trades him to Oakland. Damn good ballplayer.
