Nobody mentioned the brawl

That was a horrible incident in the Nats dugout yesterday.

Still don't understand why the Nats needed to bring in Papelbon, they had a closer!

1. Papelbon should STFU. It's a coaching issue. He's probably gone anyway, along with Matt Williams.

That's my take.

2. As a Nats fan I can say bringing in Papelbon was

one of the stupidest moves in history. He is a total ass and actually put his hands on the throat of the franchise player and league MVP.
As a closer he was no better than Storen--the only justifiable move there would have been to bring in an elite closer like Kimbrell or Chapman.

Update: Papelbon suspended for the rest of the year. He will never pitch here again.

Hard for the MLBPA to fight this one, too. There is international video as evidence that he made the first physical move.

Speaking of the A's I used to follow the progress of Billy Burns from the first day he was drafted--scouts said he'll never make it--and with the Nats help he made himself into a switch hitter-- and then freaking Rizzo trades him to Oakland. Damn good ballplayer.
