lol - well just my interpretation:
NEWPORT, R.I. (AP) Justine Henin and Marat Safin, who each won multiple Grand Slam titles and reached a No. 1 ranking, were nominated Friday for the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
Others eligible for the Class of 2016 are doubles specialist Helena Sukova, Yvon Petra and Margaret Scriven. Induction is in July.
Henin, a Belgian, won seven major singles championships, including four at the French Open, and spent 117 weeks atop the WTA rankings, finishing at No. 1 in 2003, 2006 and 2007.
Safin, a Russian, won the 2000 U.S. Open and 2005 Australian Open and was No. 1 for nine weeks.

(14,176 posts)I didn't love her behavior on court all the time, but she was incredibly talented and worked hard. I'd hoped her un-retirement would have gone better because the game is better with players like her in it; she is one of the few players from the last decade who could construct points well. Besides, she had a glorious backhand and that's always a win in my book.
But Safin? He was number 1 in almost the same way his sister was: by default. And he's an asshole.
