Related: About this forumSo how did the DH work out for the Cubs?
His 412 batting average led the World Series (among those with more than two at-bats). He was 7-for-17, including 3-for-5 in Game 7, and hit safely in all four games as DH.

(29,322 posts)1. I preferred Maddon leaving Chapman in to bat
With a man on base in Game 5 in the 8th inning (I think).

Thank goodness there were four games in Cleveland.
Chapman is a pitcher. I liked the move not to pinch hit for him in a 1 run game with a man on base.

(20,365 posts)4. Maddon wanted him to go 8 outs.
There wasn't an option.

That also hadn't won a Series in a few years?

(4,357 posts)6. Just because it worked out for them,
doesn't make it right. If you field, you bat. If you bat, you field. Plus, the DH makes the game less interesting. Never having to worry about when a pitcher is due up, etc.
