(3,251 posts)Hated to see the fatal injury to one of the other horses, however.
It can't be avoided, unfortunately.

(42 posts)from a second pick 3. Oh well, it was a great day. $1497 bet total for the two days, $1631.10 won back so far. Anything won tomorrow is more gravy. I did have to fill out tax forms for the pick 3 so I got to save thos losing tickets now.

(1,607 posts)....that was a helluva race. It's a shame that Songbird had to lose. She is a freak. I was glad that Beholder gets to retire on a winning note, though.

(42 posts)Lost the win bet on Lady Eli but had the place bet. Just had Defrong 10 w/p and with the scratch of the 4 Ive got $477 coming back so far today. Alive in the pick 3 but this race is going to be tough to get. Hope your doing well with your wagering.

(1,607 posts)....several months ago because of new wagering restrictions our state legislature passed. Not wagering just enjoying the show.

(42 posts)Lucky to still have horse racing here. The casinos have been strangling them for years. Hope that situation changes for you someday soon.

(1,607 posts)but only one TBred and one Harness track left. The legislature wants people going to the tracks to wager. I love Arlington and try to get there once a year for Million Day. Went to the BC there in 2002.

(42 posts)Arlington, Hawthorne and Fairmont. We also have quite a few off track betting parlors. I had a subpar Saturday, just having the juvinielle winner 10 w/p and a 10 place bet on Chrome. Won colse to $700 for the two days, I think this is the best I ever did in 30 years, ofcourse this year I bet the most. I do real good with exactas so this year I upped the amount to a $10 3 horse box. I play a$1 tri box, $1 pic 3 with 3 horses in each race and a $10 w/p bet on one horse each race.
