Report: Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill out for season with ACL injury

Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill has an ACL injury and will miss the rest of the season, Miami radio host Andy Slater reports.

Tannehill was injured on a low hit from Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell and ruled out for the rest of Sunday’s game. He was able to leave the field and walk to the locker room under his own power.

Tannehill was taken to the locker room for evaluation and emerged in street clothes. When he returned to the bench, his teammates approached him to console him.

Tannehill was replaced by veteran backup Matt Moore, who led the Dolphins on a game-winning drive capped by a 21-yard field goal as time expired.

If you want to make the playoffs, you may have to root for the Pats against Denver hughee99 Dec 2016 #6

Terrible news. Hopefully he bounces back next season.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals are still underachieving. What a disappointment they've been this year.

That alone has cost them 3 or 4 games. Plus the conditions were awful, worst rain I've seen.

I think the Pats will be all in on the 1 seed the final week - he'll be better off resting it and coming back strong next year.

next Sunday. It always makes my stomach turn a little to have to root for a divisional rival.

You should be able to beat the Jets, but Buffalo is going to be a critical game. The Pats may be in a position to sit a bunch of players if they have the #1 or #2 seed locked in by week 17. Despite what Belichick says about not caring who they play, I'm sure they'd rather see the Fins grab the last WC spot than Denver.
