America loves Notre Dame. While some may take issue with that statement, it cannot be argued after what happened just before the Cotton Bowl on Saturday. During the national anthem, a bald eagle got loose and started landing on Notre Dame fans.
This wasnt any bald eagle. This was a trained eagle named Clark who was responsible for flying around the stadium during the anthem before returning to his handler on the field.
That did not happen. During the anthem, the eagle decided to go rogue by landing on two Notre Dame fans in the stands.

The eagles antics led to at least one unbelievable photo.

Between this event, and the bird that landed during Bernies speech, makes me wonder if the avian world is trying to tell us something.
Birds...if you're listening....WE HEAR YOU.

(1,975 posts)southcentral and southeast - one summer we were on our way back from visiting friends in Homer, and were on the motorcycle (standard summer travel, shine or rain). One flew right along with us for over 2 miles, just off to the left. We think it was using bike noise to hunt up shrews or mice....but maybe liked the music we were blasting on that dismal stretch of road!
