It'd be kind of funny if this keeps up!
That said, I doubt it will.

(56,177 posts)I think this year it will be someone no one picks...not a #16 seed, but a 4 or 5 people write off...all the top teams are definitely beatable.

(29,322 posts)I know you didn't use Duke as an example but this post is in the context of them losing. I think Kentucky and Syracuse are nearly unbeatable, Syracuse a little less unbeatable but they can turn a close game into a blowout within minutes and you really have to play your best game to defeat Syracuse.
Point is the top 4 teams or whatever are a lot better than this Duke team which made picking UNC a somewhat easy pick.

(56,177 posts)Played four ranked teams...all at home...their schedule really favored them...they're going down in the Sweet 16...Syracuse will make it to the Elite Eight before losing...did you see them get spanked by Notre Dame? They were never in that game...they're good, but the most beatable #2 seed in the country in quite some time.

(29,322 posts)Though I realize Melo isn't a big scorer. I view that anyone is beatable, especially in single-elimination formats. I guess what I was saying, Duke is weak team from what I saw, losing at home more than once, now twice, they weren't all that strong while both of those teams--never did lose at home. Kentucky does have a tough test tomorrow so we'll see I guess.
I won't have a perfect bracket so you may be right. I still think those teams are really strong and Notre Dame. They defeated some tough teams at home, even ones that aren't ranked like Detroit.

We will find out today if they can be only the third team to sweep the SEC.
