it would great for the Nats to lay some hurt on the team as Sun-Maid and Heineken have (if they haven't already)

Pretty severe, unless it's a common occurance. They could also request the Grizzlies clean house if they want to stay affiliated.

The Baseball Commissioner has to approve of minor league ownership changes, too.
