Ezekiel Elliott's lawyers label complaint against the Cowboys RB concerning Las Vegas incident as 'extortion'Despite receiving no punishment from the NFL, Ezekiel Elliott is now the subject of a criminal complaint stemming from an incident in Las Vegas. However, the Cowboys RB's lawyers believe it is nothing more than "extortion."
According to Enzo Marino of Fox 5 Las Vegas (KVVU-TV), EDC security guard Kyle Johnson has pressed charges with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department against Elliott following the alleged assault that took place May 19 in which Elliott appeared to bump Johnson backward into a metal fence.
In response, Elliott's lawyers released a statement Saturday evening to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The statement read: "Over the course of the past several weeks, Mr. Elliott has been the target of extortion. Kyle Johnson's filing of a criminal complaint against Mr. Elliott in connection with the Las Vegas incident is the latest attempt to do so. Mr. Elliott and his team are in contact with all of the proper authorities and are fully cooperating with them in their investigations."

Or am I misremembering the headlines? (which I admittedly did not click)
