I watched a little of it, but the score was 10-2 so I changed the channel. Checked back a few minutes ago, and the Braves had scored another 19 runs.

Although I don't know a lot about baseball.

(65,168 posts)The Rangers scored 30 runs against the Orioles a few years back.
In history, 2 other teams scored 29. So tied for 2nd.
And this was a home game, so they only had 8 offensive innings!
The 38 runs total isn't close to a record. Cubs beat the Phillies in Philly 26-22. 48 Runs! I think it was the 1920s.
Then, in the 70s, the Phil's beat the Cubs at Wrigley 23-22. 45 runs!
That's so many runs, that the loser in this game would have needed to score 10 more runs, just to tie.
Football scores in a baseball game!
