TED Talks: Angela Lee Duckworth

I recently read The MVP Machine. Trevor Bauer is the main character in the book used as an example of analytics and unorthodox training methods used to build better baseball players.

At UCLA Trevor used these training techniques to help him compete. Bauer's teammate at UCLA (Gerrit Cole) was more of a natural athlete. Cole and others scoffed at the crazy stuff Bauer tried to get an advantage or level the playing field.

One source of inspiration for Trevor Bauer and his father was this TED Talk by Angela Lee Duckworth..

Not sure how Trevor's current issues play into this story? If they do at all.

I would say perhaps the grittiest ball player that comes to my mind would be Pete Rose. He wasn't the most talented by any means.
