2. A baby osprey!!!

So cute.

3. I love ospreys.

One used to nest on top of a building I walked by every day and it was spectacular. Best was when she swooped into the river and came up with a fish. I could never see when there were babies in the nest, but I could hear them, especially when mommy came to feed them.

5. There was a perigrine falcon nest on a bridge near my house.

You could not walk across the bridge once the babies hatched until they left the nest. The parents would "dive bomb" you! I loved to watch them raise their little ones.

6. Very cool.

Saturday I realized we have a nest of woodpeckers in the back. I can't see the babies, the nest is high in one of our oak trees, but I can see the parents feeding them in turns - pretty damn cool as far as I'm concerned.

8. THIS one nests, along with her partner, on top of a small boathouse adjacent to my house;

nest is large and OLD.

I never know how many eggs there are, so this year = 2; 2 years ago, there were 3!

7. This is an adult, mother of many just became mother of 2 more.

'Babies' visible on other posts, look like little bobble-heads; stay tuned, they grow quickly!
