I heard that Haines is a great place to photograph eagles. We had an eagle and bear watching trip booked there this last September, but it was cancelled due to the rockslide at the cruise line wharf in Skagway. It broke my heart

I'm working on some of those pics at this very moment. Everything came to a stop this week when that owl was discovered.

There is also an adolescent bald eagle visiting the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, which is only about ten miles from where the owl is hanging out. The birders are very busy in L.A. right now.
