Ken Whisenhut over at Tennessee appears to be back to mismanaging QBs again

So far this season, Whisenhunt has used Jake Locker, Charlie Whitehurst and Zach Mettenberger for the Titans en route to a 2-6 mark.

Ken Whisenhunt is ready to move on from a quarterback drafted in the top 10 after just a few seasons.

Sound familiar?

It did for former Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart.

News started circulating out of Nashville that Whisenhunt plans to start rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger on Sunday, pointing to the end of the Jake Locker era with the Titans.

Leinart then tweeted about the situation with FOX Sports' Clay Travis.

When Travis tweeted that the Locker era was over, Leinart responded with it "will be for someone else in a year or two as well. Same story."

When Travis asked who the Titans should draft to address their issues, Leinart simply said, "a new coach."

Leinart may be bitter but even the year they went to the Super Bowl, Whisenhunt couldn't figure out which one to start until the 4th pre-season game. The pre-season after he retired he alternated drives in the "dress rehearsal", he went first and 3 & out primarily due to a miscommunication issue with a receiver on a throw, then Derek Anderson connects for a first down on his first throw. Cuts Leinart to keep Max Hall and John Skelton on roster. I don't have a problem with Skelton but Max Hall had horrible arm strength. Then he went with the can't-decide-who-to-start issues with Kevin Kolb & Skelton, Skelton went down, Kolb then went down just as soon as Skelton was healthy. Overreacted when he overthrew a wide open Larry Fitzgerald in favor Ryan Lindley who was the worst QB I've ever seen receive so much playing time 4 games!! Then when he finally mercifully pulled the plug on Lindley, he threw Skelton to the wolves on the road against Seattle.

Titans should fire Whisenhut, promote Ray Horton to HC.
