Juergen Klopp

I still can't really believe that Klopp is leaving BVB, and I really wish he wasn't. But he is, and I'm sure he will be highly sought after all over Europe this summer.

Where do you think Juergen Klopp will be next season? I would absolutely LOVE to see him displace the Guardiola Circus at FC Bayern, but I think ultimately he'll land in the EPL. Probably Manchester City.

1. Most likely the EPL

I think I'm going to agree with Rafael Hoenigstein that he'd fit best with a "people's club" in the EPL, like Liverpool, Manchester United or City. I doubt the first two will shed their managers at this point, so I agree with Manchester City. I'm still ambivalent about Wenger at Arsenal, so I don't know how I'd feel if that's where he'd wind up.

I really cannot imagine him at Bayern.

BTW, awful Bayern performance against Porto last week. I know the attacking options were lessened without Robben/Ribery, but the defending for the goals by Dante and Boateng was shambolic. I'd say it's 50/50 for the second leg next week, but I think a lot of people are going to be very unhappy with Pep if they went out against Porto in the quarters, so I could see a potential vacancy there...

2. If Bayern go out against Porto

I would be happy if Klopp went to Man City if I didn't so badly want Pep to go there (or anywhere else, frankly). I think Klopp might have a little trouble managing some of the newer personalities at Bayern, but he would be fantastic with guys like Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Muller (especially Muller), and Neuer. Of course he'd be great with Gotze and Lewa also.

Pep's display with (and the subsequent departing of) the physios should be enough to end his time at Bayern IMO. That was completely tasteless in the best case. I know that I am going to be livid should Bayern put on another show next week like their previous debacle away to Porto. I am already very tired of the team's late season performances under Pep.

I saw that the other day - unbelievable, just unbelievable. He's cracking up.

Mueller-Wohlfahrt is only the most respected and long-serving club doctor in the world, but Dr. Pep thinks he's a quack apparently.

4. Injuries happen.

Like it or not, and I don't because they keep happening to my favorite player ever (Schweinsteiger), injuries happen.

Despite all the injuries, Pep still has a team that could beat most European rivals. Most of his second choice players are still good enough that they'd start on a lot of teams. He should have been able to show his class as a manager by guiding his team past Porto. Instead, his side looked full on bad and he did what he's done with HWMW. Given Bayern's expectations for the year, and again the fact that injuries happen to every team, his actions with the physios should have led to an instant sacking.

I love the nickname "Dr. Pep" btw, Ron...I wish I could draw a character that looked sort of like a cross between Pep and Dr. Nick Rivera from the Simpsons.

6. What did I miss?

We're on a road trip and I've missed a lot. I think I heard Bayern went out in the Pokal and that Robben is out for the season. Was the pitch bobbly and at fault for either?

7. Lots, unfortunately!

Yes, Bayern are out of the Pokal on penalties, poor finishing, atrocious penalties, and a little bad luck. Lewandowski broke his nose and jaw, plus he got a concussion, on account of the BVB keeper giving him two fists to the face on a clearance in the box. I missed Robben's injury, so I can't say whether it was pitch-related or not.

Anyhow, der Kaiser said he thinks Klopp would be a great fit at Bayern. So, yeah...now he pretty much has to come to Bayern doesn't he? Sorry EPL fans!

EDIT: Bayern Munich eventually won 5-1, so they can now claim to be better than Sheffield Wednesday.

I didn't get to watch the match, so I don't know how Robben and Lewandowski were injured. Robben is out the rest of the season and Lewandowski has a broken jaw and nose.

10. As Lahm and Alonso missed their penalties,

they both slipped and fell in the same spot. Then Neuer's shot ricocheted off the bar. Definitely a crazy match.

11. I like what he has done so far

At Liverpool. Than goodness he got an offer from FSG before Chelsea had a chance to replace Jose M.

I think he has the right personality for the current squad, it appears they are enjoying playing.

Sturridge may be getting nervous now as he's not a runner and JK likes players that challenge. Benteke does and Suarez did. Torres was known to be aggressive up front too.

Just my theory, but if forwards press the fullbacks it is more likely to cause the fullback to make a mistake or give up the ball in the midfield.

I was coached that way and when I coached I found it was a very effective way to set the tone for the game.
